Just plug the USB device into your laptop and begin collecting spectrum data using VisiWave Site Survey. Then create detailed interference maps using VisiWave Site Survey Report as easily as any other wireless coverage maps.

The VisiWave Combo products bundle a Wi-Spy spectrum analyzer with VisiWave Site Survey SO providing everything you need to preform a Wi-Fi and spectrum site survey except a laptop and wireless adapter. VisiWave Site Survey Combo 2.4x bundles the Wi-Spy 2.4x spectrum analyzer which covers the 2.4GHz 802.11b/g frequency range. VisiWave Site Survey Combo DBx bundles the Wi-Spy DBx (dual-band) spectrum analyzer which covers both the 2.4GHz 802.11b/g frequency range as well as the 5GHz 802.11a frequency range.

Chanalyzer

All Wi-Spy 2.4x and DBx devices come with the spectrum analysis software, Chanalyzer. This software program tracks the real-time RF activity in three different visualizations allowing you to analyze smarter, quicker. Chanalyzer records the data and can playback a recording of any length. The visualizations Chanalyzer provides are aligned by frequency to help anyone understand spectrum analysis. Whether you're installing WLANs or engineering wireless devices, Chanalyzer has the features you need to get the job done.

Recording Playback Record as much Wi-Spy data as your hard drive can handle. Playback is as simple as your typical media player. Adjustable Time Range The time frame let's you travel back in time through the Wi-Spy data to view any odd occurrences in the spectrum you are viewing.
Wi-Fi Channel Grading Chanalyzer will give a grade for each channel based on calculations for each frequency within the Wi-Fi channel range. These calculations are also dependent on the time frame selected so you can know how bad interference was when it occurred. Multiple Wi-Spys Use Chanalyzer 3 to monitor multiple Wi-Spy devices simultaneously. You can even open a recording or connect to a networked Wi-Spy.
Hardware Configuration Chanalyzer 3 allows you to view smaller or larger frequency ranges according to your preference. Device Signatures Chanalyzer 3 includes signature presets to identify unknown sources of RF activity. Select a device in the sidebar and hover over a pattern in the Topographic view to identify a device.

Chanalyzer Pro

For those that want to take full advantage of their Wi-Spy spectrum analyzer, consider upgrading to the professional version of Chanalyzer. Chanalyzer Pro works with your Wi-Spy device to identify devices in the spectrum, helps you track them down, and produces customizable Wi-Fi reports.
